December

NUMBER 2

2011

Hello Shipmates and Associate Members,

Another year is about over and while you are with your family and friends over the holidays, don't forget the members of our armed services that can't be with their loved ones.

Included in this newsletter is the agenda and registration form for the 2012 reunion to be held in Chicago May 2 through the 7th of May.

Many of you inquired about a trip to the Great Lakes Naval Training Center where many of us started our enlistments.  The good news is that we will be attending the graduation ceremony along with a trip to the Museum of Science and Industry, a dinner cruise and a bus tour of the city.  Of course there will also be the hospitality room to relive our younger days in the Navy.  Our website, www.usshancockassociation.org and the Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/groups/128667737214096/USS Hancock Association

will have updates if the need arises, so be sure and check them every so often.

As I close this letter, I would like to take this time to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, with a prosperous and Happy New Year.

                                                                                                                            Take care,

                                                                                                                                John Hunter
