I made the ACTUAL last cruise of the USS Hancock in 1975. I cross-decked to the USS Coral Sea when the Navy shit canned the Hancock, but my memories of the 'Cock are by far my favorites. Se ya in town shipmate!

Great Poem, Dan, and a great remembrance for Hannah's "warriors". Thank you. I'm Yeoman Jake's sister and he's shared many of your writings with me. You are deeply appreciated. Semper Fi!

I've known Dan Snuffer now for going on ten years, and he is a man of many hidden talents and virtues. His poetry is fabulous! I want him to know that I believe the Epic USS Hancock Poem is one of the best I know on our Ship! He also wrote an Epic poem on the USS Laffey (DD-724), 'The Ship that would not Die', which is now docked at Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum in Charleston, SC (http://www.patriotspoint.org/)

Dan's very Best is yours to enjoy and cherish.
