The Hancock Association President’s tour and review of the Crowne Plaza Warwick, RI

My wife, Cheryl and I recently returned from a good trip to visit the Crowne Plaza Warwick, this is the hotel for our September 2027, Hancock reunion.  I am pleased to say that the hotel looks great, and the staff seems genuinely nice and accommodating.  We stayed for two nights and thoroughly checked out the hotel.  My take is two thumbs up or Bravo Zulu.

We were able to meet at the hotel with two shipmates who live close by, John Davis and Larry Violette.  They gave us many innovative ideas for local tours. Among what they suggested is the Naval War College Museum in Newport, RI.  Also, the International Museum of World War Two, in Kingston RI.

The airport is in Providence, is less than five miles away, with a free airport shuttle.  My wife and I needed a car for our visit.  We flew into Boston/Logan which was only about an hour away with good freeway all the way to the hotel. There is lots of free parking at the hotel.

Best regards,

Dan Powell
